Spend time on your future and potential

It’s been 3 years since my last blog post. I’m not sure why but today a thought just came to me that we always complain either that we are too busy or we do not have time. But how many of us really spend the time to understand how much time we are spending on things that matter. I recently did a daily audit of my waking time and nearly 80% of it gets occupied by work (including dinners and lunch which I try to cram in to be as productive as possible).

But these also made me realize, how much am I spending my time building the future or developing the potential which I want? Not a lot if I were to be honest and that is the ultimate disservice to myself. This blog reminded me that when I first started this more than 10 years ago I had dreams of making it an influential blog but it never materialized and ended up becoming more of my side hobby or an online public diary to remind myself of my own thoughts.

The outcome of a project is usually in direct relation and proportion to the time and energy spent on it. This blog is a prime example of why perhaps it did not pan out the way I envisioned.

It’s also a reminder that if I want a project to be successful, either I will need to spend time and resources on it or have a team dedicated to it. For now, my personal project will be the YouTube or podcast channel which I am trying to develop. We will see how it goes in six month’s time.
